THINGS YOU MAY WANT ON
THE NIGHT
LIGHTING FIREWORKS
A closed metal box to store 昀椀reworks - take them out
one at a time.
A bucket of water - to cool sparklers and put out any
small 昀椀res.
Eye protection and gloves.
Only one person should be responsible for letting off
昀椀reworks.
Don’t drink alcohol if you are setting off 昀椀reworks.
Light 昀椀reworks at arm’s length, using a taper.
Make sure everyone stands well back.
A bucket of earth to stick 昀椀reworks in.
Never go back to a 昀椀rework that has been lit - even if
it hasn’t gone off.
Port Fires (Saftey Lighters)
Never put 昀椀reworks in your pocket or throw them.
Never throw used 昀椀reworks on a bon昀椀re.
WHEN CAN FIREWORKS BE USED ?
Fireworks can be used 365 days per year between the hours of 7am - 11pm.
(Scotland 6pm - 11pm)
On certain dates these times are extended.
5th Nov , Diwali , Chinese New Year : extended until Midnight
New Year Eve 31st Dec : extended until 1am.
SCOTLAND ONLY
Fireworks Can Only Be Purchased Between 7am - 6pm
